Classrooms
At Holy Family Daycare Center, we take care of about 40 children from the time they enter the world until they are ready for kindergarten. The Dreamers' classroom is for our infants (6 weeks to one year) and our toddlers are in the Moonbeams' classroom (from one to two years). The preschoolers are divided between the Stars (from two to four years) and the Rockets (from three years until kindergarten).

Dreamers (Infants)
Welcome to Dreamland! I am the infant teacher at HFDC and have over three years experience working here. In addition to teaching fulltime, I am also enrolled at Alamance Community College working towards a degree in Early Childhood Education. In Dreamland, we usually have five babies (from six weeks to one year) and at least one teacher (Ms. Cindy, Ms. Lisa, Ms. Cindy, and Ms. Annette are always in and out of our classroom helping with the Dreamers). We offer a loving and nurturing environment that fosters learning through play, song, simple sounds, smells, textures, and more. We spend a lot of one-on-one time with each child and recognize that each child is an individual and must learn and grow at his or her own pace. We work closely with each family to create a schedule that works best for each child and his or her family. Come by and explore with us in Dreamland, where all our babies’ dreams come true!
Ms. Monisa
Moonbeams (Toddlers)
I am the teacher in the Moonbeams classroom, which is a wonderful group of six friends ranging in age from one to two years. I joined HFDC two years ago but before that I was a nursery school teacher for six years and a preschool through eighth grade extended daycare teacher for four years. In the Moonbeams’ room, we enjoy center play, signing, and lots of hands-on learning. I particularly enjoy lots of messy art, being an artist myself. I love lots of parent involvement and communication. Our days here are full of busy one-, two- and sometimes three-step directional teaching. The teachers who help in the Dreamers classroom also assist me daily with all of our fun. The toddlers are a great experience for us. Please visit us anytime (except our napping and resting period from around noon to 2:30 PM). We would enjoy meeting you!

Stars (Preschool)
We are the two full-time teachers in the Stars’ classroom. Together we have over thirteen years of experience working with young children. We have a diverse and exciting group of children in the classroom ranging in age from two to three and a half years. Our classroom is full of fun, laughter, imagination and curiosity. We offer our students a real hands-on learning environment with lots of different experiences, including art, music, science, reading, blocks, field trips and much more. We value our children as individuals and support and encourage them to share their thoughts, feelings and ideas. As you will see when you come by to visit, our room is open, friendly, and bubbling with activity. Please stop by!

Rockets (Preschool/Pre-K)
As the two full-time teachers in the Rockets’ classroom, we enjoy coming to work each day to explore the world with our students. We are both seasoned teachers, with over fifteen years of experience in this environment. We usually have about eighteen students in the class, ranging in age from three to five. Learning through play and hands-on experience is the philosophy in this classroom with the ultimate goal being that each child will become an independent, free-thinking, problem-solving, sociable person well prepared for kindergarten and beyond. If we were bragging (and we are), we would say that we consistently graduate children more than ready for "Big" school. Rockets Rule!!! Come by anytime and see for yourself!
