For Prospective Families
Welcome prospective families!
Holy Family Daycare Center's mission is to provide high-quality child care. We seek to balance the Center's enrollment goals: cultural and socioeconomic diversity, support for current families, and the financial stability of the Center. We meet our goal of cultural and socioeconomic diversity by giving priority to enrolling children who qualify for subsidized child care tuition and by offering a sliding tuition scale. We show support for current families through priority enrollment of siblings of children already enrolled at HFDC and children of Center staff. Finally, to ensure financial stability, as HFDC is a non-profit organization, we maintain enrollment that will generate at least the tuition amount indicated in the annual budget.
The Center is limited in its ability to accommodate children with special needs. All enrollment decisions are made on an individual basis, in the context of space availability and the financial needs of the Center.

Application, Wait List and Enrollment Process
We invite all prospective families to the Center to take a tour of the facility, tour the classrooms, and meet the staff and children. On the tour, families will be given the HFDC wait list information packet, which will include: a cover letter, our Mission statement, the Wait List Information Form, and the sliding Tuition Scale.
A family will be placed on the Center wait list once completed Wait List Information Form and non-refundable $50.00 application fee are submitted to the Director.
When a space becomes available, the Director offers the family an enrollment date. Upon acceptance of this date, the family will receive an enrollment packet containing the Operational Policy and Parent Manual (PDF, 143 KB) and various forms which must be completed and returned prior to the child's first full day. These forms include: Center Enrollment Form, Medical Form (signed by a health official), Discipline Policy Form, Operations Policy Form, Parent Contract, and the Activity Permission Slip.
Two weeks' tuition must also be submitted as a deposit before the enrollment date. A minimum of two weeks' written notice of cancellation is required to receive a refund of this deposit. The first month's tuition is due on or before the child's first full day, and tuition will be pro-rated for the first month, if applicable.
The family is encouraged to ease the child's transition into classes by visiting several times before the first full day of enrollment. Transition plans may include: meeting with teachers outside of the classroom to discuss curriculum and developmental expectations, discussing center policy with the Center Director, visiting classes with the child for short periods during the day, and having the child attend for a half day.
